Wayne Henry Herder

Wayne Herder of Grafton, WI passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2026, at the age of 88. He moved on to his Heavenly Home with family by his side.

Wayne was born in Milwaukee WI on December 11, 1937, to the late Virgil and Evelyn (Callan) Herder. He graduated from Pius XI High School in Milwaukee, WI. His passion was in theater and music. His first career started in local radio. He was an on-air personality at WBKV in West Bend WI and eventually was named News Director. At 21 years of age, he married Agnes Fabiszak, his beloved wife of 63 years. Wayne moved into the retail food industry where he spent many years in management roles until his retirement. His favorite leisure activity was golf. He played often with family and friends and was a course volunteer for many golf tours played in the Milwaukee area.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Agnes, his cherished son William “Billy”, his sister Patricia “Pat”.

Wayne is survived by his children: Wayne, Joseph “Joe” and Julianne “Julie” (Michael); his grandchildren: Shannon, Rachel, Ashley Herder; Drew Frey and Megan Frey along with his great grandchildren: Rayleigh, Shaelynn and Mackenzie. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Mueller Funeral Home 979 N. Green Bay Rd. Grafton, WI, 53024. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice are appreciated.
