Warren B. Twietmeyer

Warren B. Twietmeyer, 93, of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, was peacefully called home to heaven on August 25, 2026. Warren was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Arnold and Emma Twietmeyer on July 3, 1933. While attending the University of North Dakota, he met the love of his life, Betty Scherer, and, on October 16, 1954, the two blissfully wed.

Betty and Warren moved from Michigan to Cedarburg, Wisconsin, in 1974, where they immersed themselves in the very things that make this community so special. They enjoyed taking long walks together through charming neighborhoods, showing up to sporting events, and supporting local makers whenever they could. They loved Cedarburg and couldn't have picked a better place to call home for the last 52 years.

Warren was extremely dedicated to his faith and work. Leading a long line of Twietmeyers in the insurance business, he was an executive at Travelers for over 35 years. He served as an elder at First Immanuel Lutheran Church. At Concordia University Wisconsin, he was a member of the Board of Regents and Vice Chairman of the Foundation Board.

Warren's interests ranged from sports to reading to history, but his faith and family were his entire world. He and Betty hosted holidays and Sunday dinners, and they could always be found on the sidelines of their grandkids' sporting events. His family cherishes fond memories of seeing (and hearing) him in the bleachers.

Warren was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His brothers and close friends knew him as "Stormy," but to his 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, he is, to this day, lovingly referred to as "Bumpa." He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Betty. He is survived by his three sons, Philip (Joanne), Scott (Patty), and Richard (Deborah). Warren's family is especially thankful for his care team at Lasata Care Center and Horizon Home Care & Hospice.

A visitation will take place on Friday, September 4, from 3:00–3:45 p.m. at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67N622 Evergreen Blvd, Cedarburg, WI 53012, A service will follow visitation at 4:00 p.m.
