Thomas Curd, a longtime resident of Grafton, was called home on Wednesday, the 28th of January. Tom was born on August 12, 1942 to Dorothy and Fredrick Curd. He married his sweetheart, Sharon Bienlein, on February 19, 1966 at St. Joseph’s Parish in Grafton. Tom’s favorite pastimes included spending time working on his property, having tended to a beautiful vegetable garden for many, many years. Tom and his family enjoyed countless wonderful years at their cabin in Fence, WI. He also loved to snowmobile and 4-wheel, and devoted nearly 70 years of his life as a trapper and hunter. Tom was an avid outdoorsman, having won multiple awards and competitions over seven decades with his many hunting dogs. In his later years, he enjoyed occasional travel and bird watching in the yard with Sharon. Though all these things brought him great joy - his greatest and most cherished accomplishment was his family. Tom was a dedicated and hard worker, having his first job as a newspaper boy in Milwaukee. As a young adult, he dedicated several years to the Milwaukee Stockyard, as well as nearly thirty years as a brewery worker for Pabst. Following the closure of Pabst, Tom returned to school for a brief time while working night shifts as a janitor, and very proudly earned certifications to start his own business, Alert Pest Control. He retired in 2007 — you couldn’t say the man was lazy! Retirement welcomed the opportunity to slow down and spend more time with his beloved wife and family. Tom enjoyed most mornings working out and chatting at the YMCA in Saukville, spending time with a group of friends (the Y Tribe), for which he truly cared for. After Sharon passed, Tom’s life felt empty in many, many ways until he reconnected with an old friend - Lynne. The time he spent with Lynne comforted and gave him so much joy, for which his family will forever be grateful. Tom had a warm laugh and a contagious smile. He told the wildest stories and tall tales. He loved a good dessert (I think we all knew carrot cake was his favorite!). He knew a little about a lot, and wanted more than anything for his family to be happy and well cared for. Tom is survived by his sons: Mark (Amy) and Troy (Stacie); grandchildren: Cassaundra, Savanah, Carson, great granddaughter: Juniper; and countless other extended family members. He is preceded in passing by his wife Sharon, special partner Lynne, and parents, Dorothy and Fredrick. All of these he loved and cherished deeply. Please join us in honoring and celebrating the meaningful life of Tom on Thursday, February 5, 2026 – at Mueller Funeral Home 979 N. Green Bay Rd. Grafton. Visitation to take place from 12:00 PM – 1:45 PM with a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery (Grafton), where he will be laid to rest with his loving wife Sharon.
