Shirley R. Parsons, a cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, in Grafton, WI, at the age of 91. Born on October 23, 1933, in Milwaukee, WI.
For many years, she served as a devoted administrative assistant for the Glendale River Hills School District, where she made meaningful contributions and built lasting relationships with those around her. Shirley was known for her bold spirit, which endeared her to colleagues and friends alike.
Shirley had a lifelong passion for sports and proudly counted herself among the Brewers’ most devoted fans. She spent countless hours cheering on her team and often found watching Marquette Basketball with enthusiasm. Her spirited love for sports was rivaled only by the joy she found playing Mahjong with close friends—a true reflection of her lively and connected social life.
Family was paramount to Shirley, who treasured every moment spent with her loved ones. The holiday season—especially Christmas—was particularly meaningful to her, as it brought her family together for joyous celebrations and cherished memories. That same deep devotion extended to her grandchildren, in whose lives she was a constant, supportive presence. Whether she was cheering in the stands or catching up over the phone, Shirley made it a point to stay closely connected—never missing a game, celebration, or opportunity to support their next chapter. Her unwavering support and deep pride in her grandchildren were a lasting reflection of her quiet, enduring love.
Shirley is survived by her three beloved children, Bob (Linda) Parsons, Scott (Laura) Parsons, and Lisa (Doug) Schultz. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, Ryan (Jalynn) Schultz, Daniel Parsons, Cory (Lexie) Schultz, Troy Parsons, Brad Parsons, Ally Parsons and Amanda Parsons, as well as her great-grandson, Jack Massie. Shirley’s legacy will continue through her loving family and the many friends whose lives she touched throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Beyer and Evelyn Beyer (nee Volkman). Shirley will be remembered fondly for her strength, her unwavering support to those she loved, and the unforgettable mark she left on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
