Sharon Clara Ferstenfeld

Sharon Clara Ferstenfeld (Nee Rukas) of Cedarburg, formerly of Brookfield, passed away peacefully at Lasata Care Center on July 13, 2019 at the age of 70. Sharon was born on July 8, 1949 in Nashua, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Nee Warrington) Rukas. Sharon attended school in Menominee, MI and graduated as valedictorian from Marinette Catholic Central High School. She then attended Alverno College and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Cum Laude in 1971. She started her career as a nurse in Milwaukee, WI. In 1975, Sharon married the love of her life Julian Ferstenfeld. Sharon was an active member of her church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Julian “Jay” Ferstenfeld, MD. Sharon is survived by her children: Megan (Jesus) Ferstenfeld-Torres and Adam (Annette) Ferstenfeld; Grandchildren: Quintin, Kylee, Corbin and Emalee; and siblings: Charles, Maureen, Mary Beth, Patricia and Sheila. Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 – 11:00 AM at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church 1375 Covered Bridge Rd. Cedarburg. Inurnment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated.
