Renee Klumb-Brandt, 58, of Port Washington, Wisconsin, passed away on April 27, 2025, after a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer. She faced her illness with the same strength, heart, and grace that she brought to every part of her life.
Born and raised in Cedarburg, Renee graduated from Cedarburg High School before continuing her education at MATC and earning her Bachelor’s degree from Upper Iowa University. Her love of learning translated into a lifelong career in education, particularly as an early childhood educator. She was a passionate and devoted teacher who saw the best in every student. Renee went above and beyond both inside and outside the classroom, making it her mission to guide young lives toward brighter futures with kindness, compassion, and a deep belief in their potential.
Beyond teaching, Renee also cared for elderly and ill patients, giving of herself wholeheartedly and always going the extra mile. Her commitment to helping others extended into entrepreneurship through Market America, where she spent over 20 years as an UnFranchise Owner and independent consultant. Her goal was always to empower people — whether through better health or financial freedom — and her passion for wellness and networking touched countless lives.
A woman of many talents and interests, Renee was never one to stay idle. She found joy and purpose in volunteering, baking, photography, and stargazing. What began as a casual hobby — capturing moments on camera — evolved into a deep artistic passion. Renee would rise at 4 a.m. to chase the perfect sunrise, drive late into the night to photograph the northern lights, and share her work through greeting cards and art sold in local businesses and booths at countless events. Her most recent accomplishment was publishing her photo book and sharing her spirit with the world. Her cookies and breads, especially, became cherished by those lucky enough to enjoy them, often made by special request.
Renee's greatest joy and devotion, however, was to her family. She is survived by her two beloved sons, Kelcey-Michael Klumb and Benjamin Brandt, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally. She cherished her grandson, Grant, who brought her endless pride and happiness. Renee’s loyal dog, Copper, was always by her side, a faithful companion through life’s many chapters.
She is also survived by her father, Raymond Klumb; her stepmother, Fran Klumb; her stepfather, Gerry Gonzales; and her brother, Jeff Klumb. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Mitchel-Gonzales.
Renee will be remembered for her selflessness, creativity, and inspiring spirit. Whether organizing family gatherings, supporting her community, or simply offering a warm smile and kind words, she made the world a better place. Her legacy of love, generosity, and compassion lives on in everyone she touched.
A celebration of Renee’s life will be held at Mueller Funeral Home Cedarburg Tuesday May 6th, 2025.
Visitation 2:30p – 5pm and a service to follow.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial tributes be directed to Renee’s funeral fund to assist with expenses. Details to follow.
In honor of her memory, please consider performing a random act of kindness or taking a moment to watch the sunrise or gaze at the stars — just as she would have.
