Ralph M. Vande Boom of Saukville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Milan Estates in Saukville on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the age of 84. Ralph was born in Saukville on April 4, 1929 the son of the late Norbert and Margaret (nee Wollner) Vande Boom. Ralph served in the United States Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. On November 21, 1953 he was united in marriage to Carol (Nee Burton) who preceded him in death. Ralph was a member of the Saukville American Legion Post #470 and the Tri County Pork Producers. Ralph worked as a farmer his whole life mainly raising swine. He was the caretaker for Lamplight Farms for many years. He enjoyed hunting and taking care of horses was second nature to him. He loved his John Deer Tractor’s and just being outside working on the farm. He also enjoyed dressing up as Santa during the Christmas Holiday. Ralph is survived by his children: Mark Vande Boom of Saukville, Gary (Betty) Vande Boom of Port Washington, Lori (Mike) Paulus of Fedonia, Roger (Sharon) Vande Boom of Saukville; siblings: Dorothy Harrington, Rita Arentz, George (Frances) Vande Boom, Celia Albers and Bernice Schuller; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other, relatives and friends. Ralph was preceded in death by daughter Lisa Kison and son in law Terry Kison, two sisters: Anita Bell and Marie Rennicke. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 – 7:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 3-6:45 PM. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Saukville.
