Ralph Edward Lubahn, born October 5, 1941, in Port Washington, Wisconsin, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Grafton, Wisconsin at his home. He was a man marked by quiet strength and a kind heart, remembered for his dedication to family, faith, and his many pursuits.

Ralph served honorably in the United States Army, a testament to his sense of duty and commitment. Following his military service, he spent many years as a mechanic at the American Can Company, where his skill and innovation were well regarded. In retirement, Ralph continued to stay active, delivering car parts for Newman Chevrolet, reflecting his enduring work ethic and punctual nature.

He was a devoted family man who loved deeply and quietly. His greatest pride came from taking care of his home and garden, nurturing both with the same gentle care he showed his family. His passion for gardening was well known, as was his affection for polka dancing, a joyful activity he especially enjoyed sharing with his beloved wife and granddaughters.

Ralph’s personality was marked by kindness and gentleness, and he held a profound love for his late wife, Marlene (nee Raasch). Their partnership was a cornerstone of his life. He was innovative in spirit, reserved in demeanor, and always faithful to keeping family traditions alive, and honoring his commitments, including his dedication to his church community.

His hobbies reflected a meticulous and engaged character; he was a dedicated model railroad enthusiast, avid puzzler, and bird lover. These interests provided him comfort and connection throughout his life.

Ralph is survived by his children: Sherrie (Dan) Pals, and Steven Lubahn; his grandchildren: Larissa Meier and Kindra Meier; as well as brothers-in-law: Jerry Neuwirth and Dennis (Candy) Raasch. Ralph is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marlene, his sister Joyce Neuwirth, his brother Donald Stackhouse, and his parents Clarence Herman Lubahn and Mary Standafer.

Funeral services to honor Ralph’s life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 – 4:30 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington Street, Grafton. Visitation will take place on Friday, from 2:30 PM - 4:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Grafton are appreciated.
