Paul Shore, a beloved member of his community and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, in Grafton, Wisconsin, at the age of 84. Born on October 8, 1940, Paul lived a life filled with laughter, music, and an unwavering commitment to his profession.
Paul devoted his career to working as a Quality Control Engineer, lending his expertise to notable companies such as Hyster, Bolens, and P&H. His educational journey culminated in a Bachelor of Science in Quality Control Engineering from Purdue University, a testament to his dedication and intellect in his field.
Those who knew him well affectionately called him “Div,” short for his middle name, McDivet. Paul was known for his lighthearted spirit and humor; his typical response to queries like “How was that?” was classically, “ABSOLUTELY adequate,” a phrase that encapsulated his playful nature.
Music was a significant part of Paul’s life, with a rich history "MC'ing" and "DJ'ing", He played trumpet with the Cedarburg Lakeshore Symphonic Band and the Cedarburg Civic Band, immersing himself in the joyful sounds of jazz, his extensive collection of jazz music spanned many decades and was second to none, reflective of his passion for melody and rhythm.
Beyond his profession and musical pursuits, Paul was an avid train enthusiast, reveling in both full-size locomotives and the intricacies of tiny “N” gauge models. This hobby brought him immense joy and connected him with fellow train buffs who shared his passion.
Paul is survived by his nephew, Landon Shore, and his sister-in-law, Tosya Shore. He is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Shore, and his parents, May and Paul Shore. The memories shared with Paul will forever resonate with those fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and an enduring love for music and trains that will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held for Paul at a later date.
