Demler, Mary J.

Passed away peacefully at Lawlis Family Hospice on December 14, 2025 at the age of 83. Mary was born on September 7, 1942 to the late Theodore and Rose (nee Metz) Demler. Mary graduated from Cedarburg High School and went to work at Kiekhaefer Mercury Marine as a receptionist for 25 years and then worked as a receptionist at Kemps Dairy for another 25 years.

In younger days, she loved to travel. She collected spoons and cows. Everything was cow decorated. She always called her car her “Rolls”. Mary was a volunteer in the community for many years. She loved playing Yahtzee, cards and bingo, and was always ready to go out to eat. To family and friends everyone called her “Aunt Mare”.

Mary is survived by her brother Paul (Mary B.) Demler; Sisters: Janice (the late James) Sawaski and Christine (Robert) Habich; nieces, nephews, great nieces , great nephews, three God Children: Lynn Maki, Clinton Habich and the late Donna Howarth, other relatives and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by her sister-in-law’s: Sandra Demler and Laurel Demler.

Mary will be laid to rest at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Cemetery in Mequon with PRIVATE family service.
