Our dear mother, Mary Ann Dittman (nee Dore) was called to her heavenly home on February 21, 2026 at the age of 95. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 17, 1931, the second eldest of 6 children, to Mary Ann (Rowbber) and Mark Dore.
Mom enjoyed a long, healthy life highlighted by her marriage to her husband of over 65 years. Dennis W Dittman (pharmacist and owner of Plaza Drugs in Grafton) preceded her in death. Together they raised three children: Daniel (Karen) Dittman, Michael (Kathy) Dittman, and Lynne (Don) Edler.
They enjoyed travel near and far, throughout Wisconsin and the United States and especially enjoyed many cruises and tours throughout the world. The Villages in Florida and Fountain Hills, Arizona were favorite places to escape WI winters. Mom was an accomplished seamstress, avid reader, skilled bridge player; and she enjoyed golf.
Mom is survived by her brother Mark (Peggy) Dore and beloved grandchildren: Danielle (Gary) Fuller, Michelle (Ryker) Horn, David Dittman, Andy (Sara) Dittman, Joseph Dittman, Anthony (Megan) Dittman, Zachary Dittman, Jeremy (Jesse) Edler. She was blessed with great grandchildren Sam, Joseph, Sophia, Tristan, Ava, Ethan, Lyla, Finley, and Arlo.
The family extends its gratitude to the entire team at Lasata Care Center (Cedarburg), mom’s home for the last two years. Special thanks also to the Horizon Hospice nurses who are truly angels on earth. A private celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
