In Loving Memory

Marjorie Selma Seigworth (née Moeller) March 26, 1930 – December 11, 2025

Marjorie Selma Seigworth, age 95, of Burnsville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025. She was born on March 26, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Clarence and Dora Moeller.

Marge and her husband Ed shared a lifelong devotion to one another, a bond first kindled when they met in Germany. Their love was evident in the simple gestures that defined their life together, most memorably in the way they always held hands. Their steadfast companionship was a source of inspiration to family and friends, a testament to enduring commitment and affection. Together, they exemplified the quiet strength of partnership and the grace of a love that lasted a lifetime.

A lifelong caregiver, Marge dedicated herself to her family and to her vocation as an elementary school teacher in the Brown Deer School District. Her patience, kindness, and love of learning touched the lives of countless students and colleagues, leaving a legacy of compassion and inspiration.

Marge found joy in traveling with Ed, as well as in reading, knitting, and playing cards. She was known for her delightful sense of humor. When a product failed to meet expectations, she often expressed her disappointment in the form of a witty poem to the company—letters that frequently earned her heartfelt replies and complimentary replacements.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Marge is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward Seigworth; her children, Susan (Seigworth) Simpson and John (Louise) Seigworth; and her grandchildren, Claire (Jimmy), Ben (Emilia), Emily, and Andrew. She is also survived by her sisters, Elaine Schuppe and Cheryl Moeller. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Kroboth and Dorothy Scherbarth. Marge will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strong faith, spunkiness, and deep love for her family. Her warmth, kindness, and grace will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the staff of Havenwood of Burnsville and Minnesota Hospice for their loving care of Marge.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a funeral service at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, on Friday, December 19. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at West Granville Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow back at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
