John M. Sorcic

John Michael Sorcic of Grafton entered Eternal Life on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Horizon’s Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, at the age of 83.

John was born on November 4, 1941, in Milwaukee, the beloved son of the late John and the late Magdalene Sorcic. He dedicated 45 years of service to Milwaukee Electric Tool, forging lasting friendships and making a meaningful impact on those around him.

On October 12, 1963, John married the love of his life, Katie “princess” Sorcic, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Parish in Milwaukee. Together, they built a loving home in Grafton, where they raised their two daughters, Terri and Kelly, and became cherished members of the community for over 50 years.

John was a passionate sports enthusiast, never missing a game involving his favorite Wisconsin teams, the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers. In his younger years, he relished playing softball with his friends at Milwaukee Electric Tool and loved swimming in Arizona and taking trips to the casino. John’s pride in his home was evident in his perfectly manicured yard, admired by all his neighbors.

John is survived by his daughters, Terri (Kevin) Achatz and Kelly Hilgart, grandchildren: Tim (Macki) Schweiger, Jacob (Savannah) Wandel, Cody (Katelyn) Schweiger, Ryan Wandel, and Isabell Hilgart; and great-grandchildren, Hudson Schweiger, Weston Wandel, Presley Schweiger and Baby Wandel. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Katie Sorcic.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 N Green Bay Rd., Grafton. The family will receive friends and visitors on Friday, from 4:00 PM until the time of service. Following the service there will be continued fellowship at the funeral home.
