Jennifer (Jenny) Jean Bunda found peace on Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, with her children by her side at Horizon Hospice in Mequon. Jenny was born on November 20, 1951, to William Joseph and Jean Ann (Crist) Bunda in Milwaukee, WI. She grew up in Wauwatosa, was a 1965 graduate of St. Agnes Catholic School in Butler, attended Divine Savior High School, and later transferred to Wauwatosa West High School, graduating with the Class of 1969.
Jenny was always ready to laugh, have fun and create moments of happiness. Her warmth and infectious smile made her a natural hostess, effortlessly fostering an atmosphere where everyone felt welcome. She was a talented cook, known for bringing people together around delicious meals and good times.
Despite personal struggles, Jenny did her best to take care of her family, be a good friend and live her life to its fullest.
Jenny dedicated much of her adult life to Goodwill Industries, where she was a highly accomplished programmer and software developer. Her colleagues respected her skill, dedication, and professionalism.
In her free time, she loved to read and took meticulous care of her home and yard—both were reflections of her pride and attention to detail. Above all, Jenny loved her children, grandchildren, siblings and friends. Her family and friends were the heart of her world.
Even as her health declined, Jenny met each day with determination and strength, committed to living her life on her terms. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jenny is survived by her children and their families: Christine (Scott) Moore; Victor (Talia) Kasper and their children, Brady and Mila; and Ryan (Jackie) Kasper and their children, Tatum and Easton. She is further survived by her siblings: Anita Grandpre, Susan Weed, Milo Bunda, and Eileen Bunda; and her brother-in-law, Jay Schultz. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews: Jared, Julia, Steve, Janet, Victoria, John, Lisa, James, Stacy, Melanie, and Clint. She will be missed by many cousins and friends, especially Susie Dally and Joan Heintskill (and their Friday night group).
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Michelle and Karen Bunda and Mary Schultz; her brothers, Paul, Jeffrey, and James Bunda; her brothers-in-law, Richard Grandpre and Roy Weed; and her niece, Lara Wold.
There will be a memorial service held for Jenny at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Visitation will be held prior from 10:00 AM till 11:15 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus are appreciated.
