Jean Lange

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday May 14, 2013, 6 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1619 Washington St. Grafton for Jean (nee LaBranche) Lange of Grafton, who passed away peacefully on Thursday May 9, at Horizon Inpatient Hospice in Mequon at the age of 76 yrs. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 4 – 5:45PM. Burial will take place at St.Joseph Cemetery in Grafton. Jean was born in Escanaba, MI on February 6, 1937 to the late Alfred & Marian (nee Finley) LaBranche, and married Roger Lange on December 26, 1959 in Escanaba, MI. Jean was the music director at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville for the past 8 years. She also was the music director at Christ Church and St. James Catholic Church both in Mequon, along with many other churches throughout the U.S... She was a member of the choir at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton, she sang for the Milwaukee Symphony for 22 years and also she was a Docent for the Milwaukee Symphony. She was a music teacher for many years in the Cudahy School District. She was a member at West Bend CC, Water Wonders at Elite River Glen, Ozaukee Co. Women Golf League, and a volunteer for COPE. Jean is survived by her husband Roger of Grafton, children; David (Christine) of Thiensville, Lisa Lange (Joe Garstecki) of Mequon, & Daniel (Clare) of Brookfield, grandchildren; Christopher & Jennifer Lange of Milwaukee, Sarah & Ben Garstecki of Mequon, Nick Gastecki of Milwaukee, Heather Garstecki of Cedarburg, Tommy, Michael, Conor, & Brendan Lange of Brookfield, great granddaughter Hailee of Cedarburg, sister; Rosemary Simonis of Neenah & brother John (Phyllis) LaBranche of Escanaba, MI. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Memorials to the Arthritis Foundation appreciated.
