Ida M Siebert, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on October 20, 2025, in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Born on June 17, 1933, in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, she lived a life filled with love, laughter and faith touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Ida connected with others through her many years working in retail businesses such as an owner of a family grocery store, as a manager of Maurices and an associate at Gages Import Inc. She also volunteered through Hospice and at the Assisted Living facilities she resided.
Ida was a true family woman. Her fondness for spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild brought her immense joy. She is survived by her loving daughters, Cheryl (Charles) Mauer and Shelly (Alan) Hiebing, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Jordan (Dario) Icardi, Jessica (Thomas Hassett) Mauer, Benjamin (Calli) Mauer, Austin Hiebing, Alexander Hiebing, Andrew Hiebing, Gabrielle (Karch) Swaylik, and Dylan Schaap, along with her adoring great-granddaughter, Naomi Icardi. She also held a special place in her heart for her son-in-law, Mike Schaap, additional family members, and friends.
Her family and friends will remember her for her kindness, warmth, and strong Catholic faith. Ida loved to craft, expressing her creativity through card making, silk flower arranging and making grape vine wreaths. She loved to bake and share her treats with others. A die-hard Green Bay Packer fan, she enjoyed cheering for her team while surrounded by loved ones. Ida was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bingo and other games. A simple car ride or walk in a flower filled courtyard was enough to put a smile on her face.
Ida now joins her beloved husband, William Siebert, and her dear children, Gregg, Mark, and Mary Schaap (nee Siebert), in eternal rest. She is also reunited with her parents, Fred Forcier and Angeline (nee Kemps), and her sister, Carol Ashton (nee Forcier), whose spirits will be lifted by her presence once more.
Ida’s legacy will be celebrated during a visitation from 10:00 till 11:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. John XXIII - St. Peter Campus in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Mass will be at 11:00 AM following the visitation at the church with Fr. Patrick Wendt officiating. Family and friends are invited to share in this remembrance of her life, which was filled with love, laughter, and a dedication to making the world a more welcoming place. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Interfaith Caregivers of Ozaukee are appreciated.
Ida Siebert leaves behind a memory of her warm welcoming smile, creativity, and love, which will always be remembered by family and friends and all who were fortunate to know her.
