It is with peace in our hearts that we share the passing of Gary Parchim on April 19, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 27, 1954, in West Allis, Wisconsin. Gary’s life was a testament to love, kindness and dedication.
Gary worked in maintenance at Fromm Foods, where he took pride in his work and the relationships he built over the years.
Gary’s love for the great outdoors was evident to everyone who knew him. He found joy in sports, hunting, fishing, and spending time Up North, where he felt most at peace. He also had a passion for jujitsu and rarely missed an opportunity to enjoy the Ozaukee County Fair.
Above all, Gary was a devoted grandfather who made it a priority to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events. Even when he couldn’t be there in person, he made sure to watch from home, cheering them on from afar. His constant support and presence will be one of the things his family misses most.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, John and Doris Parchim; and his beloved dog, Harper.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kate, and his children: Greg Lemke; Kelly (DJ) Hilgart; Steve Parchim; Josh (Chloe) Penkwitz; and Kaela (Danny) Sullivan. He will be deeply missed by his adored grandchildren, who called him “Papa Gare Bear.” Gary’s memory will live on through his family, whose lives were enriched by his unwavering love, support, and selflessness.
A memorial service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 1PM with visitation beginning at 11AM, at St. Paul’s Church in Grafton, with a gathering to follow at the Grafton Legion Rose Harms.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Froedtert, Aurora, and Lawlis Horizon Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Gary throughout his journey.
