Dorothy E. Monson

Dorothy Monson Was born to eternal life on Tuesday, July 2, 2025, in her home. She was born on May 8, 1947, to Charles and Ethel Denow in Milwaukee, WI.

Dorothy is survived by her sister, Lola Denow, brother, James Denow, children: Rachel Steliga, Mark Monson and the late Aaron Monson, grandchildren: Kiley, Austin, Trinity, Mark Jr. and Colson. Dorothy will be missed by many other friends and family members.

She graduated from the University of Oshkosh in 1965, with a degree in teaching. Dorothy taught in various teaching positions after graduation. She married the late Phillip Monson in 1973. Shortly after marrying, she found her career at St. Paul Lutheran School where she retired 30 years later. Dorothy was active in the church and school until she was called home.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, July 11, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington Street, Grafton. Rev. Luke Anderson will officiate the service. A visitation will take place on Friday, at the church, from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM. Interment will take place at the church cemetery immediately following the service. Immediately following the burial, guests are welcome to a celebration of her life in the Family Life Center at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church or School, Paralyzed Veterans of America, The wounded Warrior Project or to the Grafton K9 Association.
