Donna M. Dowe

Donna M. Dowe (nee Schulze), a beloved figure in her community, passed away peacefully at the age of 88, on August 15, 2025, in Port Washington, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 12, 1937, in Milwaukee, Donna was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and sister who was known for her unwavering kindness and strong family orientation.

Throughout her life, Donna enjoyed a fulfilling career as a realtor, achieving her realtor certification and working tirelessly until her retirement in 2015. Her career was not just a job for her; it was a passion. Donna cherished the opportunities it gave her to meet new people and help families find their dream homes, often forming lasting friendships through these relationships.

Family was at the core of Donna's life. She was a nurturing figure who always made sure her family was well-fed and cared for. Her home was a warm and welcoming space where laughter and joy thrived—she loved joking around and having fun with her loved ones.

In her younger years, she and her husband Alvin "Al" Dowe enjoyed farming and gardening together. Donna's interests and hobbies enriched her life and the lives of those around her. She was an enthusiastic cook, who took great pleasure in preparing meals for her family. Additionally, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren—Rebecca, Alex, and Connor—always looking for ways to create special experiences for them. Traveling with her sister was another highlight of her life, as they explored new places together, building a treasure trove of shared adventures.

Donna was the beloved matriarch of her family, further survived by her sons, Fritz (Susan) and Erich (JoAnn), as well as her siblings, Audrey (Werner) Fischer, Monica Faretra, and Marvin (Darlene) Schulze. She is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends whose lives she touched with her gentle spirit and warm heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin "Al" Dowe and her parents, John and Clara Schulze.

As we remember Donna M. Dowe, we celebrate her legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service for Donna will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church (1193 Lakefield Road Grafton, WI 53024). Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 AM till 11:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice are appreciated.
