Dennis "Mike" M. Schreiber

Dennis “Mike” M. Schreiber passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 84 in Grafton, Wisconsin. Born on September 29, 1940, in Milwaukee to his late parents Robert and Laverne Schreiber (nee Denis).

A beloved retired Milwaukee police officer, he dedicated 27 years to serving his community with integrity and courage on the police force. His commitment to public service was one of his proudest accomplishments, alongside achieving his pilot's license. Mike was not only known for his professional dedication but also for his engaging personality. He was a genuine good person, loved by all, and was a straight shooter in every sense. Known affectionately as an "energizer bunny," he kept an active lifestyle filled with multiple hobbies. His passion for flying was particularly notable as he owned his own plane and relished every opportunity to take to the skies. Mike was also an enthusiastic trap shooter, often sharing this interest with friends and family. He had a remarkable ability to fix anything and was never one to shy away from any project, whether big or small.

He left behind a large group of friends who will remember him for his willingness to help others and his vibrant spirit. His family includes his devoted spouse, Katherine Schreiber (nee Sikorski); his children, Christine Wicki, Michael Schreiber, and Karen Hanes; and his sister, Roberta Cummings. Mike took great pride in his grandchildren—Brittany Wicki, Heather Schreiber-Sonnenburg, Angela Farrar, and Andy Grundman—and his great-grandchildren, Jade Trempe, Coletin Farrar, and Johnathan Farrar.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Schreiber and Laverne Schreiber (nee Denis), as well as his brother, Gary Schreiber. While he will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the community he served, his legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
