Delores M. Bates

Delores "De" M. Bates, born on November 3, 1931, in Fond Du Lac, WI, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, at the age of 94, at Lawlis Horizon Family Hospice in Mequon, WI, surrounded by her beloved family.

Delores dedicated 25 years of her professional life to human resources at Doerr Electric in Cedarburg, where she made many lasting connections. Outside of her career, she found joy in knitting, golfing, and embarking on road trips with her loved ones, often spending winters in Florida with her husband, Harold, who predeceased her.

She is survived by her son, Alan Bates; her daughter, Christine Bates; her brother-in-law, Gilbert Bates; her sister-in-law, Janice Bates; her sister-in-law, Virginia Capello; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Delores was the daughter of Ralph and Helene Capello (nee Menne) and a sister to Francis and Ralph Capello, as well as Pearl Capello, Gertrude Olsen, Shirley Kunders, and Margaret Kehl, all of whom have preceded her in death. Additionally, she was preceded by her brothers-in-law, Vern Olsen and Ron Kunders, her sister-in-law, Frances Capello, and a close family friend, Beverly Beavers.

There will be a private committal service held for Delores at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Lawlis Horizon Family Hospice for their compassion and care during this difficult time. Delores will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
