Dobberfuhl, Betty A.
Reunited with her husband in the arms of Jesus on August 28, 2026, at the age of 83. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67N622 Evergreen Blvd., Cedarburg. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 10:00AM - 11:45AM, followed by the service at 12:00PM. Interment at Zur Ruhe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Lutheran Hour, or other charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
Betty was born on May 15, 1943, in Milwaukee, WI, and grew up on her family’s farm in Cedarburg. She graduated from Cedarburg High School, after which she attended Adele Ballon School of Cosmetology in Milwaukee. Betty was employed by Edwards Beauty Shop in Port Washington.
Betty married the love of her life, Gordy, on June 20, 1964. They built a home in Cedarburg, where they raised two children, Larry and Diane. Betty was very involved in her church community. She and Gordy sang in the church choir together for over 50 years, and Betty was an active member of the church quilting group for over 50 years, as well as Ladies Aid. Betty and her children were active in the Deckers Corners 4-H Club, where Betty served as a leader for over 25 years and enjoyed spending countless hours at the Ozaukee County Fair every summer.
When Betty was not participating in a church or 4-H activity, she would be enjoying one of her many passions – sewing, gardening, baking, attending her children’s activities, or helping her mother, who lived nearby. Betty loved spending time and traveling with her family and precious grandchildren. She proudly supported her grandchildren’s activities and would often attend their school and sporting events.
In 2021, Betty moved to Cedar Community in West Bend, where she quickly made friends, and could often be found working on puzzles with her neighbors, exchanging recipes, or playing Dominoes on Friday afternoons. Even after she moved to West Bend, Betty continued quilting with the ladies at church in Cedarburg on Mondays. Betty also cherished spending quality time with her friends of the “Fab 4” and “Lunch Bunch.”
Betty was the beloved mother of Larry (Kimberly) and Diane Zedde, treasured grandmother of Jonathan (Regan), Rebecca, Dominic, Benjamin, and Matthew. She was preceded in death by Gordy, her husband of 52 years, her son-in-law Jerry, and her sister Carol. Betty’s family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to all who cared for and supported her the past few years; you are loved and valued more than you could ever know.
