Barbara J. Styduhar

Barbara “Barb” J. Styduhar (nee Bock), 93, of West Bend formerly of Cedarburg passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Barb was born on December 19, 1931, to the late Everett and Julia (nee Foy) Bock in Staten Island New York. She grew up surrounded by a large extended family and had many wonderful memories of her life there. On September 29, 1957, she was united in marriage to George Styduhar. After the birth of their daughter, Nancy, in 1960, they relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Shortly thereafter, they built a home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin and welcomed a son, Paul, in 1965. They lived in Cedarburg for over 40 years, raising their family and building lifelong friendships. Barb relocated to Cedar Community in West Bend, Wisconsin. She became an active member of their community, appreciating everything this new chapter had to offer. She made many friends and enjoyed participating in the wide variety of activities and events offered. She took advantage of traveling during this time, and spoke often of her trips, which provided her with great memories.

Barb was a devoted, generous, and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was an avid reader, card player, and game show enthusiast who never missed an episode of Jeopardy. She enjoyed knitting and puzzles. Barb will always be remembered for her independent spirit and open-minded views on life.

Those Barb leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Nancy (Tim) Flood and Paul Styduhar; two grandsons, Christopher Flood and Patrick Flood; a niece, Jean Bock; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband George Styduhar; brother, E. Guy Bock; niece, Kathleen Bock; and infant daughter.

VISITATION: The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Cedar Ridge, 113 Cedar Ridge Dr., West Bend, in the Grand Hall from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.

SERVICE: A Celebration of Life Service for Barb will be at Cedar Ridge in the Grand Hall on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Private family burial will be at a later date.
