Audrey Pelzer, long-time resident of Cedarburg, passed away Monday, November 17th, at the age of 90. She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on October 29, 1935 the beloved daughter of Henry and Ruth (nee Neeb) Asmus. Audrey married Norman Pelzer on May 24, 1952, divorced in 1969 and was preceded in death by Norman. Audrey raised three children, Kathleen Pelzer (Patricia Wakefield), Jayne (David) Karbula, and John Pelzer (deceased). She is survived by two loving grandchildren Megan (Steven) Carswell and Matthew (Danielle) Karbula. Audrey is further survived by two great grandchildren Olivia Marie and Michael James Karbula. She is survived by sister, Jeanne (Mark) Polzin of North Point, FL and preceded in death by brother, Gerald Asmus whose wife Susan resides in The Villages, FL. Audrey is further survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
After graduating high school Audrey worked for years in the grocery business first with Red Owl in Milwaukee and Cedarburg and then for Kohl’s Food Store in Grafton. In her spare time Audrey spent time at the Cedarburg Senior Center, enjoying Teddy Bears Club, making cherished keepsakes and perfecting her watercolor skills. She was a faithful member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Audrey enjoyed time with family and friends, painting, cooking, gardening and her beloved cat, Lola.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 2:00pm at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, located at W63N527 Hanover Ave., Cedarburg, Wis. 53012, with coffee to follow. Private committal rites will be held at Valhalla Cemetery in Milwaukee at a future date. A visitation will take place, on Wednesday, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
