Amy M. Fischer

Amy Marie Fischer, 41, of Port Washington, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, after a five-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones. 

Amy was born on March 6, 1984, to parents Ann and Jay Wissmueller of Grafton. Amy was a 2002 graduate of Grafton High School. She married Jason Fischer on October 13, 2018. 

Amy is survived by her husband; daughters Alexa and Cassandra; stepdaughter Melanie; her parents; brother Jayson (Megan) Wissmueller; nephew Peyton and many other relatives and friends. 

Amy lived for her girls. They were her biggest blessing. She enjoyed photography and various outdoor activities such as volleyball, rafting and spending nights around the campfire up north. She was a very creative soul and touched a great many lives with her infectious smile and positive outlook. It was this same positive attitude and her faith in God that helped get her through her final years. She will be greatly missed. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alexa's college fund would be appreciated.

Dear Cancer,

You may think you won this battle I was fighting,

Oh, how wrong you were!

You have made it hard to talk,

But I didn't need a voice to talk to God.

You may have made me lose my appetite,

But I never lost my hunger for life.

You may have made me weak,

But my heart stayed strong. 

You may have made me tired,

But I was awake to the love that surrounded me.

You may have made me ill.

But my spirit thrived.

So, you see Cancer, you may think you've won,

But I am the true winner.

For now I get to go to my eternal home where
