Susan Zorn

Zorn Susan (nee Strong) of Cedarburg, January 21, 2015 age 77years. Susan dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. The deep love that radiated from her inner being provided strength. Susan valued and taught independence, individuality, and acceptance; she fostered creativity in all of the lives that she touched. Susan retired from her position as a special education teacher at Grafton High School and continued to follow her passion for helping others as a teacher naturalist at Riveredge Nature Center. She also volunteered at Cope Hotline and Lasata. Her thirst for knowledge, love of literature and nature was instilled in all of her children and grandchildren. Susan Jane Zorn was born June 17, 1937 to Stewart and Dorothy Strong in Cleveland, OH. She was raised in Silver Lake, OH and attended Kent State University. Susan moved to Cedarburg where she raised her family. Susan completed her education at UWM and Cardinal Stritch College and began her teaching career. Loving mother of Ellen (Daniel) Brichetto, Anne (Daniel) Rismeyer, Mary Zorn-Catena, and beloved Mother-in-law of Shannon Zorn. Preceded in death by her son Doug and longtime companion Clyde Inman. Further survived by 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held at Riveredge Nature Center 4458 County Y Saukville, WI for family and close friends on Saturday Jan. 31st at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Riveredge Nature Center or Church of the Holy Cross 11526 162nd Ave. NE Redmond, WA 98052 to support the sustainable farming project or the Susie Q tractor.
