Many of you have sent such wonderful messages to us in the past few days. Each and every word has been more comforting than you could possibly know. Amy and I were with mom when she passed away early Tuesday morning. We lost our best friend, our rock, our angel. Our mom was never one for fuss. In lieu of any kind of service, her wishes were to have a an "Irish" type wake with revelry, celebration, and above all else no tears. Amy and I welcome all to join us in fulfilling her wishes with an Italian twist. Please stop and share your memories and stories between 2 and 5 on Sunday April 27th, 2014 at Messina's Restaurant and Lounge at 151 N. Progress Dr., in Saukville WI. Sharon Lund (nee Frederick), 75, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon, WI. Her family settled in Milwaukee where Sharon graduated from South Division High School in 1956. She attended beauty school and briefly worked as a beautician. Sharon married the love of her life, Alfred Lund in 1959. In 1971 they moved to Grafton, WI. On January 24th, 2014 Al and Sharon celebrated their 55th anniversary. Sharon is survived by her loving husband Alfred Lund. Dear mother of Andrea (Ronald) Stibbs and Amy Witherspoon (Tony Balthazor). Most special Grandma to Allison Wheeler, Abbey (special friend Danny Ladwig) and Leah Stibbs, Sarah, Ethan, and Gavin Witherspoon. Sharon became everyone’s mom and grandma. She touched everyone with her open heart and gentle nature. Sharon enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and fiercely loved her family. She absolutely loved and counted down the days to her annual trip to Las Vegas with her beloved friend Diane. She will be forever loved and greatly missed. Sharon would like to let everyone know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus and reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job security is guaranteed 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be gambling and reading to her heart’s content. Laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left instructions for dad and the rest of us to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.
