Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 12:00pm (Noon) at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 166 W. Dekora Street in Saukville for Ruth Ann Neumann (nee Borchardt) of Saukville who died peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the age of 78 years at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of Services. Memorials to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ appreciated. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness. You are truly special people and were a blessing to Ruth and all of her family. Ruth was born September 4, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Edwin and Alma (nee Baake) Borchardt. Ruth and her husband Wilhelm Neumann would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on November 5th. Her marriage was blessed with 5 children. Ruth’s smiling face and laugh could be found working for many years at K-Mart in Grafton. After her retirement Ruth enjoyed caring for her granddaughter; Emma until she entered school and loved spending with her grandchildren; Kevin Neumann, Jami Last and Ryan Neumann and great-grandchildren Sierra, Logan, Kenna Rose and Liam. Ruth was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ and gave her time and talents in a multitude of ways including volunteering for the annual church rummage sales, brat fries and pancake suppers. Ruth enjoyed baking and had a passion for a good cookbook. Ruth also was an avid Packer fan. She was a longtime member of the Saukville community helping with the Red Cross and the Saukville Fire Department. Her call to serve was instilled by her father who served with the Fire Department in Glendale. Since 9-11 Ruth helped organize and volunteered for the Saukville’s annual 9-11 Memorial Service. Ruth is survived by her husband, Wilhelm “Bill” Neumann for almost 60 years, children; Gary, Cheryl (Rene) Wegner, Terry, Steve (Tammie), and Julie (Mike) Laubenstein, 4 loving grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brothers; Elroy (Melba) Borchardt and Larry (Diane) Borchardt, sister; Angie Hoefner, other relatives and friends. Ruth is preceded in death by her brothers; Fritz Borchardt, Robert Borchardt and her sister; Agnes Buggs.
