Robert W. Zimmerman

Robert W. Zimmerman (age 78) came into this life on January 19, 1937, in Flint, Michigan. He was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Flint. On July 1, 1961, he married Carol (nee Grosse), his wife of 54 years. They had two children: John (Kathleen) Zimmerman and Jane (Paul) Mose. Robert and Carol were blessed with 8 grandchildren: Robert and Brian Zimmerman and Deanna, Alicia, Nathan, Steven, Mea, and Karina Mose. Dear brother-in-law of Ivalo Zimmerman. Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his brother Frederick, his sister Ethel and her husband Raymond Frey and his brother Donald and his wife Emily. Robert entered eternal life on his Savior’s birthday, December 25, 2015, at Cedar Home Health and Rehabilitation Services Hospice after a lengthy illness. A Christian funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Morning Star Ev. Lutheran Church, N171 W20131 Highland Road, Jackson, WI at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 9:30am – 11:00am at the church on Wednesday. Private burial will be held at Washington County Memorial Park. A special thanks to the staff at Cedar Home for all their loving care, compassion and friendship. In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorials be given to Morning Star Ev. Lutheran Church Building Fund or Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.
