Otto Carl Conrad

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00am at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church-Freistadt, 10729 W. Freistadt Road for Otto Carl Conrad of Cedarburg who died on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the age of 91 years at Horizon Hospice from natural causes. Interment to follow at church cemetery. Visitation will be at church on Wednesday from 9:00am to 10:45am. Otto was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on December 17, 1921, the son of the late Carl and Matilda (nee Schmidt) Conrad. He loved working on his parent’s dairy farm in Almena, Wisconsin. He graduated from Baron High School. When Otto was 17 years old he joined the CCC “Civilian Conservation Corp”. He was in the Army during WWII. Otto and Dorothy were united in marriage August 23, 1980 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Freistadt. They enjoyed traveling, bowling, woodworking and square dancing. He was an active member at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, on the Board of Property at church and was in the choir. Otto was a man of few words but always was willing to help. He was an all around handy man who was loved by everyone who knew him. Otto is survived by his wife Dorothy “Dot” of 33 years, children; Carl (Mary) Conrad, Geraldine (Jean) Ross, Joyce (the late Steve) Lewin, Adrienne (Tom) Ponik, Doreen Conrad (Stephen) Vircsik, Donna (Bob) Schaerer, Diane (Tom) Klug and David (Lisa) Neske, 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great grandson, sister; Eileen (Al) Koser, other relatives and friends.
