Marlene C. Paulus

Marlene Paulus of Grafton formerly of Cedarburg passed away peacefully on Friday January 11, 2013 at Horizon Hospice in Mequon at the age of 75 years. Marlene was born in Port Washington, WI on August 18, 1937 to the late Raymond & Edna (nee VandeBoom) Gall and married Mark Paulus on April 27, 1955 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg. Marlene was a lifelong member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg serving the school and church in many different areas. She directed the St. Francis Borgia School Children’s Choir, she was a member of the St. Francis Borgia School Board, and a member of the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church Board. She was a member of the Christ Child Society, and a 1955 graduate of Cedarburg High School. Marlene and her husband Mark were co-owners of Paulus Foods in Cedarburg. She is survived by her husband Mark of Grafton; children; Kim Thornborrow of Shawano, Patti Paulus of Mequon, Pam (Joseph) Bastien of Mequon, & Peggy (Dr. Thomas) Perlewitz of Mequon, brother; Roger (Nancy) Gall of Saukville, sisters; Janice “Mickey” Bunke of Grafton & Connie (John) Mikolajewski of West Bend. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wed. January 16, 11:30 AM at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church South N44 W6055 Hamilton Rd. Cedarburg. Family will receive friends at the church Wed. from 10 – 11:15 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials to Divine Savior Holy Angels High School appreciated.
