Julia C. Bliss

Bliss, Julia (nee Rice) Of Cedarburg, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2018, age 80 years. Beloved wife of the late David Bliss. Loving mother of Timothy Barany, Thomas Barany and Laura O’Neil. Julia was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew J. Barany; her second husband David Bliss; her parents Claude Rice and Rachel Brownel and her daughter Alisa Barany. Julia graduated from Loyola University in Chicago, IL. Julia taught at the Chicago Archdioceses schools. Julia was a member of the Chicago Lighthouse for the blind. Julia was also a published musician and singer of spiritual music, releasing the album “A Journey to Songland with Julie,” which was for children. It was often said that she could sing before she could talk. Julia was a longtime resident of Oak Park, IL, spending her later years in the town of Cedarburg, WI. A Memorial Service is planned for the spring of 2018.
