Jon Harvie Hanson

Jon Harvie Hanson, 71, of Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin on January 7, 1948 and passed away on May 3, 2019 after six months of hospitalization. Jon was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Virginia Hanson. He is survived by his sisters Edith DeBoard and Susan Lau (James); his nephews David Lau (Lee Ann) and Daniel Lau and niece Katherine DeBoard; grandnephews Nicholas Lau and Lucas DeBoard-Walt and grandnieces Kayleigh Lau and Andrea Lau; and goddaughter Nicole Miller. Jon worked for Square D/Schneider Electric as a mechanical engineer for 52 ½ years, 22 years in Milwaukee and over 30 years in Raleigh. He was an avid motorcyclist and drove hundreds of thousands of miles on his many bikes. Memorial Services on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Mueller Funeral Home, 979 N Green Bay Road in Grafton, Wisconsin. A second Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 31, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Schneider Electric, 8001 Knightdale Blvd, Knightdale, North Carolina. Jon’s ashes rest peacefully in the waters of Lake Michigan.
