A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 7:00pm at St. Francis Borgia South Catholic Church, N44 W6055 Hamilton Road in Cedarburg for James E. Jepson of West Bend who died on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Fr. Justin Lopina will officiate. Visitation will be held at church on Thursday from 5:00pm until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice appreciated. James was born on Saturday, July 15, 1933 in central Wisconsin, the son of the late Roland and Genevieve ( nee McGlaughlin) Jepson. James was united in marriage to Helen L. (nee Leischow) Jepson and they were blessed with 2 children. They were married for 45 years until Helen’s death in 2008. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a member of American Legion Peter Wollner Post 288. Jim was employed for over 30 years at Continental Can Company, since 18 years old he worked his way up the ladder and enjoyed the people he worked with along the years. Jim along with many of his friends born in 1933 decided they should start the “33 Club”, doing various things with each other. One of Jim’s hobbies was fishing especially for walleye. He would fish on Lake Namakagon by Cable, WI for many years. He also was an avid golfer. Jim was an all around good guy who was very social and a solid individual. His grandchildren are active in sporting events and he would love to watch them. James is survived by his sons; Jay (Renee), John (Janelle), grandchildren; Jack, Kayla, Kennedy, Carsen and Andrew, brothers; Donald (Annette), Charles (Sally) and Gary (Carrie), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Helen.
