Fred Ren Petersen

Fred Petersen, 77, died Wednesday, May 15th at Kathy Hospice in West Bend after a courageous fight against Pancreatic Cancer. We’d like to extend a warm thank you to the staff at Kathy Hospice who took such great care of him and made a difficult time a bit easier. Fred was born September 28, 1941. He graduated from Custer High School, then served in the Air Force for 4 years, repairing jets. Fred was a resident of Cedarburg since 1974. He worked for IBM for 33 years fixing mainframes, sorters and printers. In retirement, he became an Amsoil dealer. He strongly believed in the product and loved sharing his knowledge with others. Fred was an avid race fan, and also enjoyed boating and singing in the church choir. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia, and their three children Kevin (Sue), Anne (Tom), Chris (Korinne); his grandchildren Mya, Miranda, Audrey, Madeline & Elise; his siblings Karl, Ellen (Randy) & Tom (Carol) along with many nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Linna and Edward and his brother Larry. Please join his family to celebrate Fred’s life on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton. Visitation will run from 4:30 PM-6:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Lutheran.
