Eleanor E. Loehrer

Eleanor E. Loehrer of Cedarburg, Born to Eternal Life on August 7, 2014 at the age of 85. Eleanor was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 18, 1928 the daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Nee Bartlett) Sanborn. Eleanor was united in marriage on May 31, 1952 to the late Karl K. Loehrer. Eleanor was an active member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rite Hite YMCA in Brown Deer and Luther Manor Adult Day Care. Eleanor enjoyed walking, traveling, gardening and feeding & watching the wildlife in her country back yard. She also loved being a homemaker and crossing guard for the City of Cedarburg. She had a great laugh, fun personality and the kindest soul. We are so grateful to have had so many wonderful years and great memories. As she would always say to everyone: “Ok Honey, I love you and I will see you later, until we are together again”. Eleanor is survived by her loving daughters: Caren (Jeff) Smith, Sheryl Piechowski and Cinde Joi Loehrer; Loving grandchildren: Tori (Todd) Fechter, Ryan Smith and Andrew Piechowski; Loving great grandchildren: Grace and Sophia Fechter; Loving brother Gerard Sanborn; Cuddles her dog, cats Mandy & Callie. Our mother will be dearly missed by many other relatives and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by her daughter Debra Seif; Brother John Sanborn Jr. and Sister Audrey Idzikowski. A memorial service will be held at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg on Sunday, September 14, 2014 – 2:00 PM. Family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Private interment Zur Ruhe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ozaukee Human Society or the Alzheimer’s Association appreciated.
