Christopher "Chris" C. Wheiland

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 5:00pm at the Grafton Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 N. Green Bay Road for Christopher “Chris” C. Wheiland of Milwaukee who died on January 17, 2017 at the age of 61 years from natural causes. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 4:45pm. Private burial Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Grafton at 10:00am Chris was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 5, 1955, the son of the late John H. and Joan L. (nee Burbach) Wheiland. He was a graduate of Grafton High School. In his younger days, Chris was an avid golfer, bowler and an all around outdoorsman. He loved watching professional wrestling and enjoyed going to see the Harlem Globetrotters. Chris is survived by his siblings, John Jr., Joanne (Gary) Backhaus, James (Judy) and Joseph (Anne) Wheiland, nieces and nephews, Aaron (Jodi) Caprariello, Teresa (Nate) Wieztort, Jason (Tracy) Backhaus, Michael, Peter, Heather, Thomas and Kymber Wheiland, aunt, Eleanor (the late Charles) Burbach, uncles, Richard (Donna) Burbach and Lee (the late Margaret) Sniegowski, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Joan and his brother, Thomas E. Wheiland.
