Caroline G. Snyder (Nee Stoiber)

Caroline Grace Snyder (Stoiber) was born to eternal life on November 3rd, 2020, age 85, at the Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, WI due to complications from the Covid-19 virus. There will be a private celebration of her life with her immediate family. Caroline was born September 25th, 1935, in Milwaukee, WI to John and Caroline Stoiber. She graduated from Rufus King High School in 1953 and married Charles Snyder on October 18th, 1958 at St Nicolas Catholic Church. Shortly after marrying they bought a home in Glendale and adopted two children before being surprised by a natural child of their own. She was a wonderful housewife and mother who enjoyed baking and sewing. She was an excellent seamstress even making full suits for her husband. Once her children were raised, she resumed working outside the home. For several years until her retirement, she worked as an Order Specialist for Becker Foods. Not time much for being idle, she took on a part time position at the local library in retirement. She was fiercely independent and never complained, no matter what life threw at her. She was always a talented artist and started painting later in life. She even had a show of her work at the local library! She was a wonderful woman and she will be greatly missed. Caroline is survived by her children; Charles John (C.J.) Snyder (wife Lynn), Cindy (husband Steve) Karthauser, and Chris Snyder; her grandchildren Luke Snyder, Ben Snyder, Amanda Snyder and Gretchen Karthauser; her oldest Sister Norma Wallner and many nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Caroline Stoiber, her Former Husband, Charles Snyder, her Sisters, Marion Joyce and Shirley Luecking, and her brother Fred Stoiber and their spouses. In Lieu of flowers, the family would like you to donate to whatever charity is nearest to your heart in her name. The Family would like to thank the amazing staff at both St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital and Lawlis Family Hospice for taking such good care of her.
