Betty Jane Zimmermann, 92, of Mequon, Wisconsin, formerly Brookfield and West Allis, passed away at Lawlis Family Hospice on Friday, June 14, 2019. Betty was born in Green Bay, WI on December 13, 1926, to Herbert and Fern Alberts and raised by her grandparents. She married Chet Zimmermann in Milwaukee on July 5, 1947, and they raised their two children, Cheryl and Janine, in West Allis and in Brookfield. Betty held a number of jobs including as a bookkeeper at National Foods and Executive Secretary at Enerpac. She found joy in traveling with her family, volunteering with the Mequon Woman’s Club, singing in the church choir, and dancing with The Silver Belles. She was an active member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Betty Jane is survived by her daughters: Cheryl Hope and Janine Zimmermann; her grandsons: Nathaniel (Beth) Hope and Trevor (Jeni) Hope; her great-grandchildren: Greta, Mirra, Logan and Lyla. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Chet. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 - 12:30 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, W63N527 Hanover Ave., Cedarburg. Family will greet friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to the Guardian Angels Program of First Immanuel Lutheran Church & School.
