Obituaries

Robert A. Zieger, 93, of Cedarburg, formerly of Mequon went peacefully to his heavenly home from Lasata Care Center on March 21, 2012. Robert was born in Germantown, WI on November 6, 1918 the son of the late Theodore and Alma (nee Schmidt) Zieger. Robert was united in marriage to Mabel (nee Benz) on August 17, 1940 at Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville, WI. Robert worked numerous jobs such as supervisor of a Mink Farm and Fur Grader, Construction, Farming and was a deputy Sherriff in Ozaukee Co. Robert was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville and was an avid bowler and gardener. Robert is survived by his son Bob (Linda) Zieger; granddaughter Jennifer (William) Menzia; great grandchildren: Dominic, Carina and Annamaria; sister Shirley (Howard) Laubenstein; sister-in-law Theresa Benz; brother-in-law Roland Maul, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 – 11:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, Thiensville. Rev. Jay McDivitt officiating. Visitation was held at the church on Sat. from 10 AM until time of service. Interment was at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Memorials to Grace Lutheran Church appreciated.
