Obituaries

Bernice Finstad, long-time resident of Ellsworth, WI more recently of Cedarburg, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family at the age of 98 years.

Bernice was born in the Town of Maiden Rock, in Pierce Co. Wisconsin on November 24, 1911 to the late Frederick & Katherine (nee Crain) Stockwell and married the late Norman Finstad in Milwaukee, WI on October 4, 1933.

Bernice is survived by her children: Katherine (Jim) Groth of Cedarburg and Frederick (Sandra) Finstad of Shelbyville, TN, grandchildren: Jim (Lira) Groth of Chicago, IL, Sarah Groth of Chicago, IL, Eric (Alina) Groth of Buffalo Grove, IL, Angela (Dale) Bohnert of River Falls, WI, Michele (Marty) Hintze of Shelbyville, TN and Paul (Donna) McDonough of Plum City, WI.  She is further survived by 1 sister, Doris Scheide of Middleton, WI. and 1 brother Milton “Skip” (Beverly) Stockwell, of Ellsworth, WI, 13 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
